News -BCCHS Nurse Practitioner Clinics NOW OPEN

Nurse Practitioner Clinics in the Waterline areas A SUCCESS!

The clinics are now open in Corinella and Grantville and the Nurse Practitioners have been embraced and welcomed by the community including the local youth right through to the older person.

Feedback on the easier access to primary health care has been received  "It was so convenient being able to walk to the clinic rather than trying to organise an appointment around minimal public transport in the area. It took just an hour out of my day which could normally take anything up to 5 hours. Thank you for servicing the community locally"

Appoinments can be made for Grantville or Corinella by phoning our receptionist on 5671 9200. Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, Deb Garvey (pictured centre) and Nurse Practitioner Candidate, Jo Kelly (pictured left) have been appointed to conduct the clinics. Jeanette Draper, project worker (pictured far right) assisted in the development and implementation of the model of care, a government initiative.

  • Provide support to men in need of help arising from mental illness or other d ebilitating illnesses;
  • Build a culture in the sheds where all men are welcome and where mutual respect and trust are paramount;
